There are resources for extra math practice on the "Links" page.
Students are encouraged to use IXL (www.IXL.com), TenMarks (www.TenMarks.com), MobyMax (www.mobymax.com/mi1086) or XtraMath (http://xtramath.org/signin/student) to improve their math skills. IXL is broken down by grade levels and topics; see current topics below. TenMarks focuses more on grade level content. MobyMax includes math and other subjects and will give students practice at the level they are working at according to their placement test. XtraMath focuses on basic math facts. Students will need to master addition before moving on to subtraction, multiplication, and division.

In all classes, we will be doing a pre-test before beginning each chapter and a post-test when finished. Tests will be maintained in the student's portfolio in the classroom and not sent home. Parents will be able to view the portfolio during conferences and IEP meetings. Grades on post-tests will be recorded in eSchool for parents to view through Home Access.
Students will also practice their writing skills using math topics.
